***Would you please stress that applicants need to use English characters
only and that a real name needs to be given for proper MPC credit on
discoveries? We have had a rash of problem mailings which necessitated
the disabling of the automatic membership. Email verification is now
required but we are worried this is reintroducing the language barrier as
few applicants respond to our email verification step and as such are not
granted access to the site.

***The FMO website has been shutdown temporary due to attempt to hack into
the server. We will put following note on our site once we bring the

***MPCname has to be in the form of

First name initial. Middle name initial(if apply). Full Last name

***If the FMO webmaster inbox resembles the FMO Mailing List's then Miwa and
I owe you an apology. In an event of particularly bad timing, both of us
were out of the office last week just as the observing run began. We are
just now handling the problems created by deactivated users discovering
they could not login. Reviewers understandably became frustrated when
they did not receive prompt responses to reactivation requests.

We apologize to everyone caught up in the problems and hope all issues are
resolved soon.
