This dialog is used to specify the type of objects that will be marked by colored circles on the individual CCD images, or when blinking images, after the astrometric data reduction process has been completed. To change the colors for the various object types, please use the Program Settings.
Unidentified Detections: If this option is checked, unidentified objects will be marked on the image(s). Unidentified objects are detections that are neither identified as stars (i.e., not detected on all images at the same place), nor as moving objects. If data reduction was performed on a single image only, all objects other than reference stars will be unidentified, as there is no other image to identify the stars by comparison.
Stars: If this option is checked, all stars (i.e., objects found at the same place in more than one image) will be marked.
Reference Stars: If this option is checked, all reference stars that were used for the astrometric data reduction will be marked. If "Residuals" is checked, the reference star residuals will be indicated in the image window, magnified by the factor entered here. Note that the length of the indicators will be truncated for large errors - the maximum length corrsponds to twice the maximum residual specified in the program settings.
Moving Objects: If this option is checked, moving objects (asteroids) detected by the Moving Object Detection routine of the software and accepted by the user to be real are marked by circles and their packed designation on the images.
Manual Objects: If this option is checked, objects measured manually by the operator will be marked with a circle and their packed designation on the images.
Known Objects: If this option is checked, the nominal positions of known objects in the field will be marked with a square, their packed designation and their expected magnitude after the 'Known Object Overlay' command has been selected.
