Update MPCOrb
This command allows to update parts of the MPCOrb database. The user can choose to download the
'Daily Orbital Update' (containing all orbital elements of minor planets that have been updated
during the past day), the elements for Comets, Near Earth Asteroids (Apollo, Amor and Aten asteroids),
distant minor planets (Trans-Neuptuinian objects and Centaurs), or the updated elements of other
unusual minor planets (e.g., objects with high excentricity or inclination).
After the user has selected the files to download, the software connects to the ftp-Server at the
MPC and downloads these files. After the download has completed,
it will merge the updated files into the existing MPCOrb database.
It is recommended to download the complete MPCOrb database from time to time, as the update will,
for example, not remove any obsolete elements from the database.
